My personal projects are regularly years in the making, occasionally they take decades. It seems we sometimes record things spontaneously but only see much later why they were important. Below are initial edits and thoughts on several of the projects I'm currently working on.
Negotiating Humans - Hanoi/Manila
Working on an edit of images, words and drawings inspired by the density of the streets and how human relationships are negotiated following a recent visit to Asia. The harmony, trust and natural flow of pedestrians, bikes and cars all having to navigate each other really struck me, I also experienced several negotiations with other humans regarding relationships, services and their image, that will also be a key part of the work.

Trumpton Riot Squad
Zine in progress. Yeah, yeah I know... I KNOW. Nearly there. Been quite a journey digging all this stuff up again that I shot in the late 80's /early 90's. The edit is now down to less than 100 photos and I'm currently working my way through 40,000 words written over the last 4 years - some fiction and some memoir.

Dead Sperm
Taking a new, personal look at a body of work that I shot a few years ago but (now) appears to be about sex and death.

Inity
Long term project about the dance of power we have with muses and equality in objectification. As well as some short bits of text I'm working on, the work might incorporate quotes from literature, this one in particular resonates:
"Here I sit in the ziggurat, knowing that I danced because that was the only way of killing another mannequin whose name was "I am still rather attractive and I will die if I don't get some human love. Everybody needs to be loved no matter how old they are. Besides, if I dance fast enough, I might even become liberated from the Watchers.” From ‘My mother is a cow’ by Leonora Carrington, 1950’s.
